Is higher SPF always better?
U.S. FDA and independent authorities such as EWG advise against products claiming SPF higher than 50+. Higher numbers do not necessarily mean better protection.

“SPF” measures protection against UVB (which causes redness and burning). The number indicates how much longer skin can stay unprotected before burning. Example: if skin normally burns in 5 minutes, SPF20 extends that to about 100 minutes.

For everyday indoor work, SPF20 is usually sufficient. For prolonged outdoor activity, SPF30 or higher is recommended, with reapplication every two hours.

Daily sunscreen should feel light, non-greasy, easy to apply and not heavy on makeup – so you actually want to use it every day. Choose safe, effective ingredients that do not burden the skin.
